Łódź Philharmonic Artur Rubinstein has almost a century of history. Officially created by the ordinance of the Minister of Culture and Arts of November 21, 1949. Its creation initiated the founding of the Łódź Symphony Orchestra in 1915. It is also one of the most dynamically developing Polish cultural institutions. Each month, concerts organized within its walls gather over five thousand lovers of classical music and more. In addition to the serious repertoire, the Philharmonic also presents contemporary and jazz music, and broadcasts live opera performances from the New York Metropolitan Opera. With her case, the biggest music stars from around the world come to Łódź. The wide range of institutions means that the Łódź Philharmonic can meet the highest requirements of its guests by presenting music in the best performance. The Łódź Philharmonic is also known for projects unique on a national scale, such as, for example, a series of contemporary music concerts by contem.ucha, or music workshops of Music Discoverers for children. It also organizes the Traveling Festival Colors of Poland, which for the past twelve years has been traveling on vacation to the most interesting places in the Łódź region, where you can listen to a lighter repertoire: jazz concerts, chamber concerts, folk and early music.
