A landscape and water nature reserve with an area of ​​28.8 ha. located in the south-eastern part of Tomaszów Mazowiecki, in the Tomaszów poviat, in the Łódź province. The reserve spreads over the Pilica river valley. It was created to protect water birds. His trademark and symbol is the mallard duck. In addition to water reservoirs, alder forests are characteristic here. The area of ​​the reserve contains strongly pulsating limnocrene-type springs, the water of which strikes the bottom of the sand, thanks to which it reflects on the surface with variegated shades, depending on the angle of incidence of sunlight, but usually blue. This is where the name of the reserve comes from.
