The building was built in the Middle Ages, erected in the Gothic style. Currently in a light ruin, however, fragments of the former assumption have been reconstructed. The castle was built on a quadrangle plan, on a stone foundation, with towers in the corners. The northern wing was a two-story prince's palace. Inside, in the courtyard there were outbuildings and residential buildings for the castle crew. The main octagonal tower, located in the southwest corner, was a prison and at the same time a defensive element of the gate. The high, thick wall was built with brick and equipped with a roofed porch with evenly spaced shooting ranges on the upper floor. The tower and wall were connected by an internal passage. The entrance to the castle was in the gate tower from the south, opposite the palace. It was only accessible via the drawbridge, because the whole was surrounded by a defensive moat.
