Its head office is located in one of the most impressive buildings of Łódź, the former Palace of the Łódź factory manufacturer Izrael Poznanski. The palace and garden are located in close proximity to factory buildings and workers' houses. Together with them it creates a factory and residential complex. The main body of the building has a monumental neo-Baroque character with rich decoration and allegorical sculptures glorifying industry. The palace interiors are elements of museum exhibitions depicting the lives of people important for the city, works of art and all sorts of everyday objects. The exhibitions show the history and culture of Łódź as well as its outstanding inhabitants related to literature, music, theater and art.
