A magnificent castle located in a very nice area on the banks of the Warta on a small hill. Built on the initiative of a close associate of Kazimierz Wielki - Archbishop Jarosław Bogoria Skotnicki in the second half of the 14th century. A brick, three-story Gothic stronghold was built on a quadrangle plan with dimensions of 25 x 28 m, surrounded by a 10-meter wall, a moat and a palisade. From the west, it has an attached chapel building and a tall, 30-meter high round tower, preserved to this day. The building also includes two quadrangular towers connected by residential wings. There was a gate from the south of the castle. Although the defensive elements of the stronghold have been significantly reduced throughout history, we can still see the outline of the walls at the back of the castle. The castle also has an internal courtyard. On one of its walls is the hereditary coat of arms of the noble family Jelita and two other coats of arms of the archbishops (Snake and Pomian) above the entrance portal. Inside the castle you can visit only one room with antique equipment and polychrome on the wall. The rest of the facility fulfills hotel functions. The castle is surrounded by a large park where archaeological work is underway. In addition, 60 species of trees and shrubs grow there.
